Mayfield Park is right down the street from Mt. Bonnell, and they have peacocks!
Address: 3505 W 35th St, Austin, TX 78703
360 Bridge Overlook – another cool place for a view. This one you park off the road, climb up mother nature-made steps, and see some beauty. No ropes at the edge so…
Address: 5300 N Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, TX 78730
Twin Falls – a hike down to beautiful swimming hole on Barton Creek (when there’s water!- Protip: check Instagram for recent photos to see if there is water)
Address (approximate) – 3918 S Mo-Pac Expy, Austin, TX 78746
Shopping on South Congress- a fun spot for random things and a cool view of the Capital building. Can get very busy- kinda cliché but definitely worth visiting. To get there, you can map Enoteca Vespaio (1610 S. Congress Ave. Austin). They do have markets on Saturdays that are
fun to walk as well.
Zilker Park if you want some outdoor wandering around time. 2100 Barton Springs Rd. Austin, TX. You can also do disc golf there, go to Barton Springs (swimming), rent a paddle board or kayak.
Alamo Drafthouse – need some downtime to catch a movie and eat at the same time, go here. They also have sing-a-longs and comedy things that happen randomly.
Nightcap – beautiful restaurant in a house with a bar and a nice outside space. Food is great too!
Crepe Crazy – great for breakfast, cute and Austin-y
Gordough’s Donuts – a bar/eatery that features giant donuts and hamburgers on donuts and
chicken on donuts, etc. It’s just different and delicious. Not so great service, but fun to go to
Torchy’s Tacos – pretty much anyone has to come here if you come to Austin
Lucy’s on the Lake – Great outdoor spot with good drinks, etc. Quite a hike from downtown.
G’Raj Mahal – if you are looking for good Indian food, this eatery on Rainey Street is great. I
would suggest going early as Rainey Street is the bands/bar area in town and it can get real busy
real quick. BUT! Fun nightlife if that’s what you’re looking for!
